We recently attended the GSEV Conference, where one of the standout presentations, held by Gisa Gerold, was focused on the fascinating role of tetraspanins in viral-induced membrane curvature. She explained how viruses like Chikungunya manipulate host cells by bending their membranes, particularly using the CD81 protein to facilitate rapid replication. This mechanism mirrors extracellular vesicles' pathways, highlighting the complexity of cellular processes.

The conference was a combination of presentations of cutting-edge research and engaging discussions. It was another exciting and insightful conference to spark new methodologies for treatments. Thank you to the organizers of GSEV.
